Johanne Nedergaard and Ellie McIntyre – Teaching Officers

My name is Johanne, a second-year Psychology, Philosophy, and Linguistics student at Brasenose College, and one of the two Teaching Officers for Jacari this year.

Personally, I’m really interested in how teaching works – how children learn better if they’re having fun and being creative – and am happy to help with ideas and feedback. Apart from being Teaching Officer, I am tutoring a lovely Swedish girl.

My name is Ellie, and I’m studying Modern Languages at St Catherine’s College. I’m also a Teaching Officer for Jacari. We’re responsible for the teaching inductions and provide support for Jacari volunteers with any questions about teaching techniques and your lessons.

If you have any questions about being or becoming a Jacari tutor, please feel free to contact us at teaching@jacari.org

So Phia Ong – Fundraising Officer

I’m So Phia, a third-year History student at Christ Church. As the fundraising rep, my job is to organise events and sales to raise funds for Jacari this year, so look out for those, and if you have any ideas, comments or suggestions, please drop me an email at fundraising@jacari.org.

Wu Shaun Khoo – Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Hi I’m Shaun, and this year I will be Jacari’s Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. My role involves collecting and analysing data and feedback from Jacari pupils, volunteers, teachers and parents. On the basis of this I will provide advice on how we can improve Jacari’s impact and effectiveness in future years. If you have any questions, feedback or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch at monitoring@jacari.org.
