We work in partnership with specific schools in Bristol and Oxford who refer their pupils to us if they need extra support with learning English, lack confidence and they are struggling at school. We only accept pupil referrals via current partner schools.

We select our school partners based on them having a significant proportion of EAL pupils, as well as a large cohort of children and young people who are from disadvantaged backgrounds, as measured by the percentage of pupils eligible for Free School Meals (FSM). We use Department of Education school data to obtain this data about individual schools. There are a number of other factors which will influence our decision on whether to work with a school or not, including the schools’ location.
Please note that currently, we are not accepting any more schools into our partnership programme in either Bristol or Oxford.
