Peer Tutoring

Sixth formers supporting younger EAL pupils at our partner secondary schools

Become a peer tutor

Jacari’s peer tutoring project involves sixth-form students in secondary schools volunteering to support younger EAL pupils, most of whom are newly arrived and need extra support with learning English and adjusting to their new school. During peer tutoring sessions you will play games, help your tutee with their homework or general English language learning.

"Jacari's peer-tuition project has had a huge positive impact on our students at MHS ... the relationships between students and their mentors is wonderful to see."
Hannah White, EAL Lead, Montpelier High School, Bristol
